My Birthday Party

On Saturday after lunch, my friends came over for my birthday party. Sarah came first, then Amber, Ashley, and Abby, then Greta, Tanner, and Connor. Everybody gathered in the kitchen to make necklaces with beads. There was a picture of what they were and little beads that go with them.
Then we made bags. We took little squeeze bottles of paints and made decorations on little white bags with a picture of a Strawberry Shortcake person who had a picture of our head.

Then we all gathered in my playroom to play games. We played, Blueberry Muffin, Blueberry Muffin, Strawberry Shortcake. It was sort of like Duck, Duck, Goose, and whoever was Strawberry Shortcake had to chase. I was always first for the games, because I was the birthday girl.

Then we played a game sort of like musical chairs except there were little Strawberry Shortcake people all over. My mom took away one every time. The first one to be out was Sarah. The second one to be out was my sister Anna. Then it was Ashley, then Tanner, then Connor, then it was Greta, and then it was between me and Amber. The music stopped, and I picked it up, and I won!
Then we played Hot Strawberry. Hot Strawberry is just like Hot Potato. First Amber had to sit down, then Abby, then Connor, then Tanner, then me. Then it was against Sarah and Ashley. Sarah had to sit down and Ashley won!

After the games, we went to make Strawberry Shortcake Gingerbread houses. Some of the kids who were waiting patiently got to hand out stuff. We took milk containers and frosting and frosted the milk containers. Then we put the graham crackers where the frosting was. Then we put frosting all over the graham crackers and put skittles, licorice, and lifesavers to make stuff on the house.
Then we lined up to wash our hands for cake. Connor kept skipping, and we washed our hands, but Connor didn’t wash his hands because he kept skipping and coming out of the line. Then we sang to me, “Happy Birthday,” and blew out the candles. Then my mom passed out cake and juice boxes, and then we lined up to rinse our hands.
Then we lined up to go hit the pinata. The pinata was a strawberry pinata we made for Strawberry Shortcake, because my party was a Strawberry Shortcake party.
Then we came upstairs and colored a little and played a little while we waited for the moms to get here.

Three Apples Up On Top

My family thought of a good idea to make three apples up on top.  I put three apples up on top on the table and then we put our heads close to the apples on the table to look like they're on our heads!
Then my mommy did it.  She was a little big.  We sort of saw the table in the picture, so it didn't look like it, but that's okay.
My sister did it then.  But, we can sort of see the table in the middle, but that's AOK.

My Halloween

It's Halloween!  We're getting our costumes on, and then we're going to go outside to go trick-or-treating.

This is a picture of us starting down the driveway and going to the first stop.

Our baby's have costumes, too.  Luke is Woody.  Ally is custard.

When we were trick-or-treating, I looked and saw Greta, someone from my school.  We ran to each other.  And then we went trick-or-treating together, heading towards Greta's house.  Greta's brother Miles was Buzz Lightyear.  Greta was Jessie.  My sister was Jessie, too.  Hahahaha.

We got to Greta's house and we started playing.  First we played sweeping leaves out into the creek.  Then we played  hide and seek.  And then we played we were sister and brother riding our bike and our scooter.  My dad was watching us, holding my little cat, Custard, which was really Ally dressed up as Custard.

We were riding a bike.  Greta was pedaling and I was riding on the back basket.  Greta was also pulling my sister Anna who was Jessie, like Greta is Jessie.

Then we went in Greta's house.  We started finding instruments.  We made a band.  Miles was playing a drumset.  Greta was playing piano.  I was playing guitar.  Anna was also playing guitar.  Greta was singing, too.

It was a very, very fun Halloween!

My babies are growing

August 8
This is how cute they were when they were younger.  This was their first car trip.
August 18
I love to take pictures of my babies.  And I have another blog post about them, too.
August 28
I love my babies.  They're so cute!  They loved to lay on our beanbag.
September 22
This is sort of like Luke pulling Ally up from a ditch.
September 23
This looks like they're in love.

My babies are learning to talk, too.  Luke says "hi" and "woh" and Ally says "hey."  They were cuter when they were younger.

My classroom

I went to Open House last week and I took a lot of pictures.  My whole family took me there.
This is my school.  I ride the bus to school every afternoon.
This is my calendar.  This is my weather wheel.   This is how we figure out how many days of school we've had.
These are the where the P.E. shoes and my art smocks are.  These buckets hold them.
This is the shelf that holds our books.  My teacher reads us a story from a book every day.
We have times where we can play.  Here's one center.  There's going to be more.  I'm telling you about this picture.  We keep the house going.  And these tables are where we do arts and crafts and have a snack.
These are my teacher's puppets.  Some stories have the puppets in them.
This is an easle that holds up everything that we're going to do everyday today in school.

That's everything!

The beautiful butterfly story

In my backyard, there were these big weeds. They turned into flowers. Today, monarch butterflies surrounded them. It was very beautiful. My dad was going to cut them down, until the butterflies came and surrounded them. The monarch butterflies, I think they were attracted by the flowers. I have so much to say about them, I don't think we'll ever be done. The monarch butterflies flew away and flew back all afternoon. I couldn't help it. I had to blog about them! We were out there first, I called my mom to come out. She grabbed her camera and stuff and brought a baby out, too.

My first day of school

Today was my first day of school.  Yesterday my mom made me a 4K cake, for some silly reason.  And Mom let me pick out what to eat for lunch, and, of course, I picked out ziti.  We also had movie night last night, and we're going to watch the rest of the movie tonight.  We did all of it just for my first day of school!

My teacher is Mrs. Grambow.  She's fun and she's the best teacher in the whole world.  Mrs. Dorsch is a helper for Mrs. Grambow, and we were her pick ups today.  That means we separate out.  Me and Greta and some other kids went with Mrs. Dorsch, and some other kids went with Mrs. Grambow.

Today, my first day of school, there's a gym at my school.  We went there to sort of exercise.  We did free play time inside our classroom, because there's lot of toys.  It's just where we switch around from center to center and sort of play.  And we went outside for my school recess.  We could only play on one certain structure because there was astruction [construction] on our play place.

I have a friend.  Her name is Greta.  Greta is fun.  She's my buddy.  We sort of go together.  Just because I'm making new friends, it doesn't mean I can't have my other friends.

My mama taught me a new song that learns me not to give up my old friends.

And here it is:

"Make new friends but keep the old.  Some are silver and the others, gold."

My story about the Fox Point Pool and when the Fox Point Pool is closed

The Fox Point Pool is closed right now, but I had a lot of fun at it this summer.  My dad took me there a lot, because my mom was pregnant and had to stay at home with Anna because she was napping.

When I was there with my daddy we swam, swam, swam, at the Fox Point Pool.  We practiced swimming, and we went for lots of pool rides.  Pool rides are when my dad takes me where I can't stand and swims around.  And sometimes we played that I was Ariel and he was Scuttle the seagull.

I had swimming lessons there, and I caught rings at the bottom of the pool.  I held my breath at swimming lessons for 7 baseball, 11 Easter, and 7 Martha.  That means everyone counts with whatever is our favorite thing while we hold our breath.  (1 baseball, 2 baseball, 3 baseball...)

Kate's creations: letters, shapes, and numbers

I had an idea when I was eating lunch last week.  I thought I could make numbers with my body.  I showed my mom in the kitchen.  Then later my mom took pictures of me.
