My first time camping

We went camping a couple weeks ago, in August, at Point Beach State Park with Mommy, Anna, and me.
We cooked all our food, but there were a bunch of bees.  We ended up eating in the tent.
We went on a nature scavenger hunt.  We were crossing off stuff I wrote to look for in my "secret journal."
There were a whole bunch of wild blackberries.  We ate them, and they were really good.  You can only eat stuff that your mommy tells you that you can eat, because they could be poisonous.
We found a park right next to where we could take showers, and we played on the tire swing a lot, but one time Anna got a tummy ache.
There were monkey bars about 7 feet long and twisty.  I did it the first time in 12 seconds, the second time in 11 seconds, the third time in 10 seconds, and the fourth time in 9 seconds, the fifth time, 9 seconds, the sixth time, 8 1/2 seconds, and then the seventh time, just 8.  I really improved.
We went to the beach, and it was really fun.
We helped Mommy did a real deep hole and we dug chairs in there so we could just sit there.
We buried our whole bodies in the sand.  Now our heads were only left.  Mommy said we lost our bodies, which I am positive we didn't, because they are here right now.
This is a picture of me and Anna by a tree in the woods.
There were some fallen down trees that we walked across like balance beams.  I was really good, because I took gymnastics.
This is a picture of me and Anna sitting on the log.
I wrote in my journal a lot, to write down stuff we found and stuff.
We played cards in the tent while Anna was napping.

This is a silly picture of me and Anna leaning on the door of the tent and we look like bad guys.
We made s'mores.  The smoke really bothered us.  That's why I look so silly.  They were really good.  Too bad Anna doesn't like marshmallows.
This is the picture of the vacation.  I don't know why it is.  Mommy just loved it.
We made our own popcorn.  I made it once.  It was easy.
We made our own bathroom, so we didn't have to walk to the yucky smelling bathrooms.
This is just a picture of Mommy and us.
Anna kissing me on the tire swing.
We went all the way across the cut down tree and explored the woods.  This is us walking down the cut down tree in the big woods without a path.
This is us in the woods without a path.  The other woods had a path.
This was a tree that looked like a giraffe and we're sitting on it.
We saw a toad, but Mommy thought it was a poopy.

Super Reader

At Barnes and Noble bookstore, there was a reading challenge, and you would get a free book if you completed one of the forms.  I did two, so I got two free books, but we pretended one was Anna's, because you couldn't get two free books at once.

At the library, there was a reading program, too.  You had to read 18 half-hours and you would get little prices, like free stuff or tickets to stuff, but if you finish all of the program, you get a free book.  If you finish a half hour, you get small stuff.  But if you finish five, you get a prize out of the treasure chest, and if you finish 10, you get a prize out of the treasure chest.

I finished the whole program, and then I got to go on to a challenge program.  I had to read a new non-fiction, a classic, and books that I don't normally read.  I had to read a historical fiction, but I always read historical fiction, because I'm always reading Magic Tree House, which is historical fiction.  I finished the challenge program, so I'm going to go to the library soon and see what I get!

Swimming Test

I passed the swimming test!

So now I can go off the diving board!

I was practicing when my dad was in the baby pool.  And my dad went in the bathroom when I passed the swimming test, so I surprised him.  Then we went off the diving board.

I had to swim 25 yards to pass the swim test, without touching the ground, touching the side, or taking a break.

Grandma's House

I went to sleep over at my Grandma's for a week with my sister and my cousins, Laura and Adam.  Adam is six and I'm six and a half.  And Laura is 3, a year younger than Anna, and Adam is a year younger than me, because I was born in 2005 and he was born in 2006.

Every morning we played inside.  Then after lunch we played with the water slide, pool, and slip and slide, and splash pad.  Then when we came in, we changed and had supper.  Then we took showers, but we didn't go to bed, we watched a movie.  Except for Saturday, we went and got pictures taken and got new shirts.

Lemonade stand

I had a lemonade stand.  We sold the lemonade for 25 cents per cup.  The lemonade was really good.  It was made from sugar, water, and lemon juice.

Oma was there, and she told me to wave the sign in front of the cars.  It was so hot!  I told my neighbors to come so they could buy lemonade.  And I sold lemonade to the mail man.

Anna saw a girl who was going to K4 next year, just like her.  Her name was Sasha.  She took a lot of pictures of her, and use loved Sasha.  They bought lemonade at our lemonade stand.

I sold a lot of lemonade.  The profits were for charity.   We used the charity money to buy a special summer treat for kids at the Joy House.  We got them ice cream treats.  We also gave some of our toys to them.

Tea Party

I had a tea party.  I invited three of my friends from school, and also Anna, of course.  I invited Charlotte M., Charlotte G., and Kylie.

Kylie was a little late, because her Dad had forgotten, but they still came.

While we were waiting for Kylie, we made wands.  Kylie still got to make wands after we had tea and parfaits.  We had to get our tea clothes on, which was dress up.  Kylie didn't want to dress up.

After we had tea and parfaits, we decorated crowns and played a little.  Then we went outside and played and also got face paint.
